October 20th ~ Diary Entry
2014
Notes
- Worked on TAFE Horticultural 2 course for most of day, brain drain by 4.30 and feeling despondent and bored! OH&S module. The information will come in handy when we host guests who will exchange work for accommodation - we'll need to make sure we know everyone is working is safely in a safe environment. Glad we're never going to be employers!
- Last week I didn't keep the diary going - we travelled 1600km interstate to help our daughter and her family settle in their newest family member, baby Patrick!
- When we got home I did manage to finish tidying and organising the potting shed / nursery and I have potted on several plants that needed it and took many cuttings of succulents.
- We still need to finish the last bits of drip irrigation around the house.
- Sown: snow peas, sweet corn, lettuce, spring onions
- Cleared out hen house, used manure on raised veggie bed
Weather
- 2014 - forecast 34' in Adelaide but only got to 25' on our verandah, cool easterly breeze, reasonably windy
